Hobo

The HOBO store is the essence of modern eclectic style. A unique collection of furniture and home accessories with a modern and contemporary feel, yet decorative and textured finish.

HOBO products support real village production, using materials natural to the local landscape, and therefore continuing and promoting ecological product development and production. HOBO prides itself on providing handmade and exclusive products that will last for generations to come. Rattan topped occasional tables, up cycled colonial 1940's vintage furniture, authentic school chairs covered in Javanese batik and hand made terracotta from Lombok. HOBO has exclusive production rights to terracotta, reclaimed teak, baskets, and recycled glass. HOBO is a rare species in today's international home accessories and furniture market.

HOBO offers a massive variety of capabilities for both mass production and high quality bespoke products.

Anna Pretty, Hobo’s Creative Director brings with her years of experience working in the design and retail industry throughout Europe. After leaving the Royal College of Art in London with an MA in Furniture and Product Design Anna went to work with Philipe Starck in his Paris studio. From there she moved to Habitat in London during the early and pioneering years of Tom Dixons Creative Directorship. Designing lighting, clocks, to basketware and vases Anna worked with some of the very best factories throughout Europe and Asia to form a unique understanding of effective and varied production tecniques. From here Anna went on to become Head of Object design for Zara Home in Spain where she honed her skills in realising original yet highly commercial product in a very pressurised and fashion fuelled environment. A surfing boyfriend and the need to step out of the coportate world brought Anna to Bali - to the source of some of the worlds richest and most unique craftsmanship, textures and materials and from where the HOBO story has begun.
